Neuropsychological Evaluations

Neuropsychological Evaluations are comprehensive assessments that examine how brain functioning affects thinking, learning, behavior, and emotional regulation. These evaluations assess a broad range of cognitive domains, such as attention, memory, executive functioning, language, processing speed, and visual-spatial abilities. Emotional, behavioral, and functional factors are also considered to provide a holistic understanding of an individual’s strengths and challenges.

Neuropsychological Evaluations may be appropriate when there are concerns related to learning difficulties, attention problems, memory changes, neurological conditions, traumatic brain injury, or unexplained changes in functioning. Individuals across the lifespan may benefit from such testing when diagnostic clarity is needed or when complex symptoms affect daily life. These evaluations are often used to guide treatment planning, educational or workplace accommodations, and medical or legal decision-making.

Dr. Ilene Kaskel brings training and extensive experience in neuropsychological assessment and is known for delivering efficient, high-quality evaluations. At Center for Clinical Psychology, assessments are carefully tailored to the referral question and grounded in evidence-based practices. Reports are clear, thorough, and practical, making them highly usable by families, schools, physicians, attorneys, and other professionals.
